Today, Intermeccanica supports Intermeccanica owners and fans through brokerage services for pre-owned Intermeccanica products, service and parts support, as well as technical advice, out of our Burnaby, British Columbia shop and office.
Intermeccanica is not currently manufacturing new products; production ended in the summer of 2022 with a total of about 610 Intermeccanica 356’s and 65 Kubelwagens having been built in Vancouver, Canada since 1982.

The Reisner family is saddened to announce that on February 27, 2026, Intermeccanica co-founder and matriarch Paula Reisner died at the age of 90. Paula was the backbone of Intermeccanica from its founding in 1959 and kept Intermeccanica moving forward through multiple iterations in three countries and two continents. Paula was the backbone that kept Intermeccanica going when founder Frank Reisner died in 2001.
